Description

A footloose armadillo takes a handy pocket mouse on a scavenger hunt. Meandering westward along roadsides and watercourses, they collect wildflowers and other curiosities. Texas ebony, bluebonnets, acacia, blanket flowers, bluebells, oak galls, cactus fruits and snake skins are plentiful. A scorpion’s tail forms a pinkie ring, a tiny bone pierces an ear. Even a plastic cowboy is squeezed in among the flora. Most astonishing of all is the peculiar shiny red object from another armored creature, a 1958 Chevy Impala.
