To attract attention, a confident cougar chooses vibrant hues. Anchored to one ear by a devil's-claw, an array of ocotillo, cholla and hedgehog cacti, chuparosa, fairy duster and Southwest coral bean blossoms spill over his head.

A seductive necklace of ladybugs, scorpion tails and cactus fruits adds sparkle, while a barrel-cactus spine pierces his ear. The back recounts the nervous chatter among the rabbits upon his arrival.
