A coyote peered beguilingly from the shadow of her spring hat — a flamboyant jumble of blooming cacti and wildflowers. Blackfoot Daisies, Southwest Coral Bean, Prickly Poppy, yucca blooms, and dangling mesquite pods were fancied up with a snakeskin bow and Velvet Ant. Milkweed stems with sage leaves formed a necklace, while a Desert Checkered Skipper poised on a strand of Creosote seeds.
