The idea for this painting was for one of 10 wine labels I did for Fowles Wine, in Australia. They decided instead to use their idea – an old boot in the deer’s antlers, because it related to their working farm. Then I painted the other one for myself, and called it Forest Rain, because it relates to my home environment and the ever-present desire for rain.
