STORY ON BACK:

Flashing with color, a dapper collared lizard shows off how he uses small findings for striking effect. A Mojave aster, desert checkerspot wing, lilac sunbonnet leaves, monkeyflower, and the rare pygmy poppy are tilted precariously on his head. The tail of the giant hairy scorpion is proof of his courage. Around his neck swirl the pods and petals of the four-wing saltbush and Eureka Dunes evening primrose. A necklace of iodine bush stems is clasped with a compliant ladybug.
