STORY ON BACK:

A cougar steps unannounced into the evening gathering for the Wild Hat ceremony. She is breathtaking in the large, fragrant flower of the Night­Blooming Cereus. The golden coils of scorpion tails and tiny Christmas Cholla blossoms are perfect. Sphinx moths approach the white flower to gather its pollen. She believes that her ensemble will outshine the others, capturing the award without her resorting to her usual tactics.
