The Birdwatcher Print

The Birdwatcher is a black bear art print featuring artwork by Carolyn Schmitz — a black bear with birds perched in her leafy forest crown.

An imposing black bear surprises the crowd when she arrives with avian friends perched in her leafy crown. Her headdress trembles as a blue grosbeak adjusts an arrangement of aspen, mullein, Gambel oak and sprays of pine needles, while grape-vine twists and oak galls form her necklace and earring.

A white-breasted nuthatch, pygmy nuthatch and green-tailed towhee chatter nearby. The story on the back shares her journey from the mountains to the desert party.

Printed with archival pigment-based inks on museum-grade cotton rag paper.
