"Dude! May I take your coat and hat?” a heckler shouted as a tough-looking fellow in a no-frills helmet bullied his way through the crowd. Everyone hastily moved aside, gawking at the Badger. "It’s not a hat!” he growled. The ringtail cat beside him spoke up. "An old headlight bucket was all he could dig up,” she explained. "But I insisted on the prickly poppy. Doesn’t he look fetching?” She swooshed her tail across his face, just missing the red velvet mite. The badger rolled his eyes and looked down at his fingernails.
